"the good neighbors" to your family? Well, about 4 years ago when my family and I moved to our new house we walked around the block and meet all our neighbors. Then, the next day, one of our neighbors named john and Mary had knock on our door. I remember like it was yesterday, it was on a Saturday morning around 10:38 am, Johns and Mary had knock on our front door the only people in the house that were awake at the time were my mother and me. So, my mother was in her room watching TV, while I was downstairs when I heard them knocking at the door so, I had to open, the door but, before I did I looked at through the peep hole in the door to see who was on the other side.
When I saw John and Mary, I put on a smile and opened the door to greet them. But, to my surprise they both handed me a basket full of ghost chilies -- the hottest pepper in the world - , peaches, apples, tomatoes, potatoes, bell peppers, and fresh sun flower seeds straight from the sun flower its self. Once I took the basket of fruits, I asked, “what is all this for?” they said “it’s a welcome to the neighborhood gift basket”,. then, I said, “ why thank you for the lovely gift basket” and then, I close the door walked into the kitchen, sat the basket on the table grabbed and apple.
Then, returned to playing a game I had started just a good 96 hours ago -- I’m still wondering how I played a game that long--. Just as I had started to play the game again my mother yelled from her room, “Who was at the door?” I answered back, “It was our neighbors John and Mary, they came by to give us a welcome to the neighborhood gift basket full of fruit from their garden”. My mother said back, “Ahh How nice of them to bring us freshly grown fruit”.
So, for the next few weeks the couple came by once a week to give us fresh produce from their garden that was really promising from the looks of it. The welcome basket was gone in a week but, the ghost chilies were made into a very spicy ramen noodle dish.
About one year after we had moved in, we got a German shepherd female dog at age 2 years old. She had puppies the year later, so as a gift of gratefulness we took one of the female puppies and gave her to our neighbors John and Mary for free because they have been looking a female German shepherd puppy for a good price and all the puppies just so happened to be pure breed puppies. Also, that very same summer we bought them a Japanese cherry tree for their garden. But, about the puppies, our dog had 10 puppies in all, 5 girls and 5 boys, we sold for 500 dollars for the boys and 700 dollars for the girls because people want the girls more than the boys.
